I'm back
being A Technical Support Representative!
It's always the same thing and education... Inside the customer's premise ,you need to have a Modem,PC with a NIC,filters and the cables.
Outside the DEMARC marked by the NID,that's where the copper wires go to the Central Office. The different thing about the account which I support now is that inside their Central Office, they not only have a DSLAM nor the Router but they have the MPS/Ldap and Radius.
Plus, this DSL account also does not want to exhaust a 16k ft distance from CO of one's location, rather,MAXIMIZE's a 14k loop length requirement. Maybe that's why it's on top. They delivering "world class service' With this "Baby bell" buying the "Mama Bell",add an alliance with Yahoo!,subscribers are really having the best quality where their bucks go.
One can choose from a basic, pro, extra and elite packages with the Yahoo! All in One security Suite. This software is available and has an Address Guard and Spamguard feature no other online DSL providers can beat! To know more about it,research on help.att.sbcglobal.net
But still,I miss my old account!or just it's bitter memories....
